Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Strip's transparency and technical processing.
Do Strip Tools upload my files anywhere?
No. Every application in the Strip Suite operates on a Local-First architecture. All processing happens entirely on your physical hardware. Your photos, videos, and audio files never leave your device.
What types of files can the suite process?
Currently, our flagship Strip: Photo Metadata Remover supports JPEG, PNG, and WebP formats. We are actively developing Strip Video and Strip Audio to handle MP4, MKV, MP3, and WAV files with the same forensic precision.
Will image or video quality change after scrubbing?
No. Our tools are designed for non-destructive processing. We use lossless paths whenever possible to ensure that while the invisible metadata tags are incinerated, the visual and auditory quality remains untouched.
Why do the apps need internet permission?
This permission is strictly limited to Google Play services for license verification and in-app purchases. The core forensic logic of the suite works fully offline and never transmits your data.
Is the Strip Suite open source?
We follow an 'Open Intent' philosophy. While the core processing algorithms are proprietary, we provide total technical transparency through our in-app inspectors, allowing you to see exactly which fields are being audited and removed.
What is the 'Zero-Cloud' promise?
It means we have no servers, no databases, and no tracking. We don't want your data, and we've built our tools so that we can't see it even if we wanted to. Your privacy is enforced by architecture, not just a policy.
